Xpress offers a variety of tickets and passes to suit your needs. One-way tickets for $3 and round-trip passes for $5 may be purchased on coaches using exact change, as may reverse commute half-price passes ($1.50 one-way, $2.50 round-trip) may be purchased on coaches as well.   

31-Day, 20-Ride, 40-Ride and 31 Day Reverse Commute passes are sold at the Douglas County Multimodal Transportation Center and at the GRTA office at 245 Peachtree Center Ave, NE. Suite 800, Atlanta. The 31 Day Reverse Commute pass is only valid for routes heading in the reverse direction of the traffic back to the park and ride lots.  Not all routes have reverse commutes. Times and addresses are listed below. Cash, checks, and money orders are accepted. Click here to purchase X-passes by mail. The order form is in PDF Format.

Xpress fares can be added to your Breezecard by visiting any ticket vending machine at the MARTA rail stations. Please navigate to the GRTA Regional fare window before making your selection to use Xpress Coach Services.

All sales final. Refunds are not available.
GRTA will not replace lost or stolen Xpress passes.

Online Sales

One of the most convenient ways to purchase your X-Pass in on the Internet, Click here  to purchase an X-Pass using Xpress Online Sales. Only Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted for Online Sales.

Xpress riders may transfer to MARTA at no charge. Be sure to ask for a bus-to-rail transfer when you board the coach. Transfers will expire after three hours from issue. Xpress also accepts transfers from MARTA at the West Peachtree and McGill (Civic Center), Peachtree Center, and Pryor and Alabama (Five Points) stops. MARTA weekly and monthly cards are accepted as transfers at these points as well.

PLEASE NOTE! Xpress passes are not valid on routes operated by Gwinnett County Transit (GCT) and Cobb Community Transit (CCT). GCT operates routes 408, 410, 412 and 418. CCT operates routes 470, 475, 477, 480 and 481.

Xpress Regular Fares:

$3         One-Way
$5         Round Trip (return pass valid same day as purchased)
$45       20-Ride pass (good for 20 one-way rides, no time limit)
$85       40-Ride pass
$80       31-day pass (Good for unlimited rides for 31 calendar days after the first use.)

Xpress Off-Peak* and Reverse Commute Fares:

$1.50    One-Way
$2.50    Round-Trip
$40       31-day pass (Good for unlimited rides for 31 calendar days after the first use and is only valid on routes heading in a reverse commute against traffic)

*Off-Peak hours (times when traffic congestion is lighter) occur between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m.

All persons 65 years of age and older, Medicare card holders and persons with disabilities are eligible for half-price fares on those routes operating during off-peak hours. You must show the driver your Medicare card to qualify for the half-fare. Only one discount will apply.

Children Riding for Free:

Children may ride without paying a fare, provided:

1.)   the child is no taller than the fare box and is 6 years old or younger. The child will stand next to the fare box and will be measured from the fare box base to the top of the fare box. (If the child measures taller than the fare box, full fare must be paid), and

2.)   rides in the lap of his or her parent or guardian. Furthermore, if a child is brought onto the coach in a carrier of any sort, then the parent or guardian must store the carrier in the undercarriage bin during the trip.  If the child is placed in a car seat on a coach seat, then the parent or guardian must pay the fare for that child.

New Fares Effective in October

On Oct. 4, 2010, GRTA will implement a new fare system. The table below describes the new fare prices and products.

Fare passes are not refundable.

GRTA fares are based on the distance traveled. Routes that travel the farthest from Atlanta are in the Blue Zone. Shorter routes are in the Green Zone. Some Green Zone routes have a segment that is in the Blue Zone. If you have a Green Zone pass and want to ride the farther distance in the Blue Zone, use your pass then simply put $1 exact cash in the farebox. Also, a Blue Zone pass is valid on any GRTA route.

Passes can be purchased on line, CLICK HERE, or in person from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the GRTA Office, 245 Peachtree Center Ave., Suite 800, Atlanta, GA 30303. Cash, check, money orders and credit cards are accepted.   

 

Breeze Card

The Breeze Card may be used for this route but only for cash value. The 10-Ride fare pass and the 31-Day fare pass are not available on the Breeze Card. Breeze Cards are available at any MARTA rail station.

 

Transfers

Customers should pay the full fare when transferring to a coach on a GRTA route except when traveling during non-peak times when the fare is half price. 

 

Half-Price Fares

All persons 65 years of age and older, Medicare cardholders and persons with disabilities are eligible for half-price fares on those routes operating during off-peak hours (between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m.). Riders must show the coach operator their Medicare card to qualify. This route currently does not operate during off-peak hours.
