RideSmart’s regional Guaranteed Ride Home Program (GRH) provides commuters who carpool, vanpool, bike, or use transit with a reliable ride home if an unexpected event occurs during work hours. Commuters may take up to 5 trips home or to their car each year.  Registering is simple! Commuters must fill out, sign, and return the 2010 Program Application to RideSmart via:

RideSmart is open to commuters who use alternative forms of transportation, such as the Xpress

commuter coach.

Please remember to re-register each year.

You can use the GRH program for:

• You, your immediate family member, or your commute partner(s) become ill

• You or your commute partner(s) have to work mandatory unscheduled overtime

• You or your commute partner(s) have to leave work early 

You cannot use the GRH program for

Missing the Xpress coach, a ride to work, a trip to a medical facility, personal errands, intermittent stops, scheduled appointments, medical appointments, scheduled overtime, company-wide emergencies or closures, business-related travel, side trips, vehicular failures, transportation system and/or provider closures or failures, work-related and/or bodily injury, 911 emergencies, inclement weather, natural disasters or acts of God.

Eligibility
To be eligible to use the GRH program, you must have arrived at your worksite using the Xpress commuter service or other mode of transportation instead of driving alone on the day of the unscheduled, unexpected event.  You must also live or work in the Atlanta region.  For more information, visit the RideSmart web site at https://www.myridesmart.com/html/grh.htm.

Enrollment
To enroll, click here   and complete the GRH Application and Agreement.  Read the guidelines and complete the application if you are interested in enrolling.  Then mail or fax your completed form to RideSmart (contact information appears on the form).  You will then be eligible to use GRH by contacting at 1-877-433-3463 if an eligible unplanned event occurs.
