Xpress Launches New Routes and Makes Service Improvements
Route 442 from Riverdale to Downtown Atlanta
Xpress will begin two new routes this month. Route 442 will begin service from Riverdale to Downtown Atlanta. The coaches will depart from a new park & ride lot constructed for Xpress on Lamar Hutcheson Parkway across from a county public library branch. Route 423 Panola Road to Midtown Atlanta
Route 423 will begin service from the new Xpress Park & Ride lot at Panola Road and Interstate 20 to Midtown Atlanta. This is the same location where routes 422 and 428 depart. New time added in late morning and early afternoon to Route 422
Xpress will add a fifth coach in the morning and in the afternoon on Route 422 from Panola Road to Downtown Atlanta. The new departure will be at 8:00 a.m. for arrival at the Civic Center MARTA Station at 9:00 a.m. The new return time will be at 3:15 p.m. from Civic Center MARTA Station with arrival at Panola Road at 4:05 p.m. Both the morning and afternoon coaches will follow the same downtown route. Time Change on Route 450
Because of the traffic congestion in Midtown, the afternoon coach departing Civic Center station to Midtown will be backed up by 15 minutes. The current departure is 4:55 p.m. It will be changed to 4:40 p.m. The stop time at Arts Center MARTA Station will be changed from 5:05 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. The return time back to Civic Center before the coach begins its downtown route will remain at 5:20 p.m. To view the proposed schedule, please CLICK HERE. West Peachtree Stop Moved Across 14th Street
Because of the reconstruction work scheduled next year on 14th Street, the current Xpress stop on West Peachtree St. is moving across 14th St., so the pick up on W. Peachtree St. will be AFTER crossing 14th Street. Xpress coaches will begin using the new stop on Aug. 13.
