About XpressXpress gives commuters throughout the metro Atlanta region a valuable transportation option and also improves the capacity of Georgia's most congested highways. Our 33 routes in 12 metro Atlanta counties carry more than 2 million passenger trips annually, providing workers with reliable, stress-free commutes to/from major employment centers in Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead and Perimeter Center.
Xpress is a regional public transportation service provided by the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), in collaboration with our transit partners in Cobb County (CCT) and Gwinnett County (GCT). We also provide convenient connections and free transfers to the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), the 9th largest transit system in the US.
Because Xpress customers ride on our coaches rather than driving on the interstate highways during rush hours, they save all of the region’s commuters more than $140 million a year from lower traffic congestion costs. These savings, combined with the low cost of operating the Xpress service, translate into a 4-to-1 return on investment.
