GRTA Xpress Transit Fares Apply

Union City to Downtown Atlanta
Xpress operates six coaches in the morning and six returning in the afternoon from the Union City/Fairburn area of South Fulton County. Three of the coaches provide a “reverse commute” from downtown Atlanta to the park & ride lot in the morning and returning in the evening. The park & ride lot is located at exit 66 of Interstate 85 South. The lot is a Georgia Department of Transportation Rideshare lot located at Flat Shoals Rd. Union City, GA 30349. Enter the lot from Feldwood Rd.

How to Read the Timetable

The timetable shows the timed stops on the Xpress route. Not all stops have times. To estimate when the coach will arrive at a non-timed stop, check the last timed stop just before the stop you want and the first timed stop after the stop that you want. Your stop time will fall in between those two times.

Xpress does not operate on New Year’s Day; the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Fares

Only GRTA Xpress fare passes are valid for this route. Fare passes are not refundable.

Half-Price and Reverse Commute Fares

• One-way -- $1.50 -- (pay exact cash only at the farebox)
• Roundtrip -- $2.50 -- (pay exact cash only at the farebox)
• 31-Day -- $40 -- (31 days unlimited use)

Half-price fares are available on reverse commutes. In addition, all persons 65 years of age and older, Medicare cardholders and persons with disabilities are eligible for half-price fares on those routes operating during off-peak hours (between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m.). Riders must show the coach operator their Medicare card to qualify. This route currently does not operate during off-peak hours.

Xpress coaches stop only at locations designated by an Xpress coach sign.
Always check the route sign above the front window of the coach to ensure boarding the correct coach.
Put your fare pass in the trim unit as you board or use your Breeze Card to tap the Breeze Reader. Put only exact cash in the farebox.
If you need the wheelchair lift, let the driver know and follow his or her instructions.
