Canton-Woodstock to Downtown Atlanta

Route 490 provides three commuter coaches from Canton and Woodstock to Midtown and Downtown Atlanta, Monday-Friday. No reverse commute service is available. The route begins at Boling Park in Canton and stops at His Hands Church in Woodstock before proceeding to Midtown Atlanta at 14th Street to downtown Atlanta.

The 173-space Boling Park is located off GA Hwy 5, just south of Cherokee High School, in Canton, GA 30114. The Woodstock park & ride is located at His Hands Church, 550 Molly Lane, Woodstock, GA 30189.

To estimate when the coach will arrive at a non-timed stop, check the last timed stop just before the stop you want and the first timed stop after the stop that you want. Only GRTA Xpress fare passes are valid for this route. Fare passes are not refundable.

  • Roundtrip -- $5 -- (pay exact cash only at the farebox)
  • 20-Ride -- $45 -- (20 single trip rides) available online.CLICK HERE

Half-Price and Reverse Commute Fares

 

  • One-way -- $1.50 -- (pay exact cash only at the farebox)
  • Roundtrip -- $2.50 -- (pay exact cash only at the farebox)
  • 31-Day -- $40 -- (31 days unlimited use)

Half-price fares are available on reverse commutes. In addition, all persons 65 years of age and older, Medicare cardholders and persons with disabilities are eligible for half-price fares on those routes operating during off-peak hours (between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m.). Riders must show the coach operator their Medicare card to qualify. This route currently does not operate during off-peak hours.

Breeze Card

Please Note!


  • Xpress coaches stop only at locations designated by an Xpress coach sign.
  • Always check the route sign above the front window of the coach to ensure boarding the correct coach.
  • Put your fare pass in the trim unit as you board or use your Breeze Card to tap the Breeze Reader. Put only exact cash in the farebox.
  • If you need the wheelchair lift, let the driver know and follow his or her instructions.
